Dr. Sara Northey is a Chartered and Registered Forensic Psychologist. She has worked in the field of forensic mental health for over 10 years, working with both male and female offenders in this time. She has worked in prisons and in secure mental health services and is currently the lead psychologist for a male low secure ward within the NHS. Sara is also an experienced practitioner of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, having worked with adults and adolescents.
Sara has extensive experience in conducting assessments for risk of violent offending (HCR-20, PCL-SV), risk of sexual offending (RSVP), mental health (e.g. schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, schizo-affective disorder), cognitive functioning and memory (WAIS-IV, WMS, ACE-R), personality disorders (SCID-II, IPDE), immigration status, family work, capacity, fitness to plead and suggestibility. She is able to complete high quality psychological assessments that explore treatment needs.
