Dr. Andrew Parkinson
Biography
Dr Andrew Parkinson is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and HCPC-registered practitioner psychologist with 19 years’ experience working within NHS services. His areas of specialist practice include family court and care proceedings, neurodevelopmental assessments, trauma-related difficulties,, cognitive functioning and capacity assessments.
His clinical work has included a range of specialist NHS settings, including forensic services, and he has extensive experience working with complex presentations across the lifespan. Dr Parkinson is experienced in completing expert witness assessments and reports for the Family Court and is skilled in integrating multi-informant and multi-method assessment data to provide clear, balanced and evidence-based opinions to support court decision-making.
In addition to his clinical and expert witness work, Dr Parkinson is a visiting lecturer at the University of Surrey and at Salomons Institute of Applied Psychology, where he contributes to training in clinical psychology.
