Dr John Owen is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with approximately 20 years post-qualification experience. He worked in NHS mental health services from 2006-2016. Since 2016 he has been in private practice. He is an accredited expert witness, has completed the Bond Solon / Cardiff University expert witness certificate in civil law and procedure, and is listed on the National Register of University Certified Expert Witnesses. He has prepared over 500 expert reports since 2015 for cases in the areas of personal injury, and also immigration/asylum (including assessment of trauma in victims of torture). He also conducts mental capacity assessments.
