Biography

Dr. Bakshi has over 20 years of experience as a Psychiatrist. He is a Fellow of Royal College of Psychiatrists (FRCPsych) and is on the General Medical Council’s Register as a Specialist in General Adult Psychiatry and Substance Misuse Psychiatry. He is approved under the Sec 12(2) of the Mental Health Act as having special expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders.

Dr. Bakshi has 14 years of experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist delivering care to working age adults with a range of mental illnesses and disorders. Additionally, he is experienced in the assessment and treatment of Perinatal mental illnesses. He has prepared psychiatrist reports and given evidence to the First Tier Mental Health tribunals. He is experienced in preparing reports for the Coroner and the Court on fitness to plead and testamentary capacity. He has also produced reports for Occupational Health and personal injury cases.

He is on the Executive committee of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Eastern Division and has held other positions of responsibility including Deputy Medical Director of a large Mental Health Trust. Currently, he is on the Board of a national charitable organisation, delivering care to people with mental illness and substance misuse.
